History

Hot spring settlement in the Edo period

Ikaho Shrine

A big fire

Ikaho was often hit by a big fire. The cause is because it is on the middle of Mt. Imperial Villa

In 1823, the Miyauchi Province decided to purchase the villa of the former House of Councilors Kanai Noyomi and its vicinity to be “Ikaho Garden”. The royal family came to visit Ikaho every year since the choir of the Mansion, and in 1954 the Imperial House was transferred to the Ministry of Education, and it has reached the present.

Hawaii and Ikaho

lightning rod

Tokutomi Roka and Ikaho
